Blogs : Turning the Tide : February Wrap-up

by goldseraph

February went pretty well, I felt like I didn’t tilt much and had a pretty good work ethic. The first week and a half of the month my Dad was visiting and I didn’t play too much, plus February is only 28 days, so I managed just 40k hands for the month. I ran and played well though for the most part and had a very solid month for SSNL. Here’s my graph, its about 60% 100nl and 40% 200nl.

I ran about 16bb/100 for the month so hopefully even if I run considerably worse I will keep printing money and building my roll. One thing I need to continue working on is having the balls to put extreme pressure on people who I know probably can’t handle it. Too often I shy away from triple barreling, check shoving the river, 3bet/5betting in reg wars, and making overbets on the river when I know the opponent is weakish and trying to showdown. I hope to let out my inner animal and I might have to spew a bunch of buyins to variance but that’s fine if I believe in the plays.

Here’s looking forward to a nice fat 31 day March ahead – good luck everyone!
